Plus the necro wings from the set dungeons are pretty cool (and the necro set dungeons are less cancerous than the other classes so it's not hard to get them). So, while there's a lot of overlap with other classes, and I tend to recommend new players just get the base+RoS (since you can add the necro later), getting the necro is definitely a good choice for many players. So you will probably be able to find something that fits your playstyle. There are a variety of builds, from pets builds (that let you target your pets unlike WD), corpse builds (which fire the corpses of enemies at other enemies, creating more corpses to fire at yet other enemies), close-range blood builds (which shower nearby enemies with damaging explosions of blood), and more. The class is all about blood magic and bone magic, and the visual design does a good job of maintaining those themes. Return to the mortal realms with deadly new powers of blood, bone and essence.
