


Valance knocks Dengar out with a single punch, sparing his life for unknown reasons. Valance tracks Dengar to Coruscant where Dengar is bragging about his exploits. Valance works out his own plan with Vader, and after giving Vader what he desires, Valance is able to escape. Valance had a chance to plant an EMP on Vader that would have destroyed his breathing mechanics but is stopped by Dengar who blasts him in the chest. Vader slaughters the majority of the crew when he finally catches up to the hunters. He informs the Dark Lord of the hunters' locations a number of times. Unfortunately for the bounty hunters, Dengar is working as a double agent for Darth Vader. Whether they’ll succeed - or at least not kill each other - remains to be seen. In ’s first look at Marvel’s Star Wars: Bounty Hunters 11, bounty hunter Beilert Valance recruits a rival to help track down Han Solo. Valance was not thrilled about working with Dengar this time either, as they had a previous partnership that had also gone south. In the world of bounty hunters, friends can quickly become enemies. They were put together on a large team of bounty hunters with the task of eliminating Darth Vader. When Valance awakens, Dengar successfully navigated them away from the field which 4-LOM and Zuckuss also survived.Robbie Thompson and Marc Laming's Star Wars: Target Vader miniseries tells the story of a previous partnership between the two deadly bounty hunters. Valance was able to successfully navigate the field until Dengar knocks him unconscious so he can negotiate terms with the pursuing bounty hunters. These are the same creatures as the one that Solo landed the Millenium Falcon in during Empire Strikes Back. 4-LOM and Zuckuss continued to pursue them into the asteroid field infested with exogorths, better known as space slugs. Valance's ship suffered extreme damage as he flew through the field, which makes sense, considering he has to avoid more than just the asteroids. Valance turned the ship directly into an asteroid field. With nowhere else to turn and their ship suffering damage, Valance made a risky maneuver to escape his pursuers. Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #12 depicts Beilert Valance and Dengar trying to escape the pursuit of the bounty hunters 4-LOM and Zuckuss.
